Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ServerHive, including the website at serverhive.gg, the bot dashboard at bot.serverhive.gg, and the ServerHive Discord bot (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What ServerHive is

ServerHive is an independent ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK: Survival Evolved server list and tracker. It lets server owners list, monitor, and promote their servers, and lets players discover servers, vote, and read community-written guides. The ServerHive Discord bot adds optional server-management features (suggestion boards, support tickets, and related tools) to Discord servers where an admin has invited it.

2. Accounts and authentication

The site uses Steam sign-in for server owners and players who vote or manage a dashboard. The bot dashboard uses Discord OAuth sign-in, scoped to reading your Discord identity and the servers you belong to, so it can show you the Discord servers you're allowed to manage. We don't have or ask for your Steam or Discord password. You're responsible for keeping your Steam and Discord accounts secure — we can't recover access to the Service if you lose access to those accounts.

3. Age requirement

The Service is not directed at children. You must meet the minimum age required by Steam's and Discord's own terms to use those platforms, and by extension to use ServerHive through them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

4. Content you provide

If you list a server, write a guide, submit a suggestion, or open a support ticket, you're responsible for that content. By submitting it you grant ServerHive a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute it as part of operating the Service (for example, showing your server listing in the catalog, or posting your suggestion as a Discord embed). You confirm you have the right to submit that content — don't upload images, descriptions, or files you don't have the rights to.

You agree not to submit content that is:

  • illegal, or promotes illegal activity;
  • harassing, hateful, or intended to threaten or intimidate;
  • sexually explicit or exploitative, especially involving minors;
  • malware, phishing links, or otherwise designed to compromise a device or account;
  • impersonating another person, server, or organization; or
  • infringing someone else's intellectual property.

We may remove content or listings that violate these Terms, and may hide or unpublish a server or guide at our discretion without prior notice.

5. Voting

The vote system exists to reflect genuine player interest. Don't use bots, scripts, VPN/proxy rotation, or multiple accounts to inflate a server's vote count. To deter abuse without storing your raw IP address, we compute a one-way hash of your IP together with the server you voted for and use that hash to enforce the vote cooldown — see the Privacy Policy for details. We may invalidate votes or servers we reasonably believe were manipulated.

6. The Discord bot

When a server admin invites the ServerHive bot to their Discord server, the admin controls how it's configured — including support-ticket categories, suggestion channels, moderation roles, and the bot's language and custom text for that server. Your use of the bot inside a Discord server is also subject to that server's own rules and to Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. We are not responsible for how an individual server admin configures or moderates their use of the bot. An admin can remove the bot from their server at any time, which stops the bot from operating there.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service beyond what a normal browser or the documented API allows;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • reverse engineer or circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other technical protections;
  • use the Service to violate any applicable law; or
  • resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on and links to third-party platforms — Steam, Discord, and Epic Online Services (used only to check ARK: Survival Ascended server status). Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, not ours. ServerHive is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Valve Corporation, Discord Inc., Epic Games, Studio Wildcard, Snail Games, or any ARK server operator listed on the site. ARK: Survival Ascended, ARK: Survival Evolved, and related marks are trademarks of their respective owners.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Server status, player counts, and other tracked metrics depend on third-party game servers and network conditions we don't control, and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ServerHive and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data, revenue, or access to a Discord server or listed game server.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service at any time; you can revoke ServerHive's access to your Steam or Discord account from that platform's own settings, and a server admin can remove the bot from their Discord server at any time.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
